SKY HIGH SURF ACADEMY
For over 20 years, Sky High can be found on the IJsselmeer beach at Workum campsite It Soal.We are known for our qualitative and especially fun kitesurf lessons, windsurf lessons and wingsurf lessons. for young and old. The shallow and flat water makes the IJsselmeer beach of Workum one of the most beautiful surf locations in Friesland and the Netherlands. From April till November Sky High is the centre of the IJsselmeer beach, young and old start here with the first kitesurf, wingsurf, foil or windsurf lessons at our surf school. Beginners or advanced surfers know to find Sky High to learn more and bring their skills to a higher level. Recently, we also offer wingsurf and foil lessons, this water sport discipline gives you a free feeling on the water. We offer these lessons at several locations in Friesland.
Wingsurf/foil
Always wanted to learn how to wingsurf? Then this is your chance! At Sky High, the best surf school in Friesland, you can learn to wingsurf. To learn how to wingsurf, you need some 'surfing' experience. Someone with windsurfing, kite-, or foil experience will generally learn a lot faster.
Stand Up Paddle
Stand Up Paddling (SUPpen) can also be experienced at Sky High. When there is less wind and the sun is shining, you can go on the water independently or with instruction.
Kitesurf
Our name says it all, we teach you to kitesurf as quickly and safely as possible! We use the IKO teaching system, for safe and quality lessons.
Windsurf
Perhaps the best known water sport in the Netherlands, classic windsurfing! Windsurfing is suitable for almost everyone, from 8 to 80 years of age you can enjoy yourself on the water.
Who are we?
Sky High Surf Academy has been active in Workum and Lemmer since 2002.We have been providing kitesurfing and windsurfing lessons in Workum and the surrounding area for many years. Our surf school is one of the best in the Netherlands to learn kitesurfing, windsurfing or foiling. Have you already mastered the basic skills? Then you can rent equipment from us and set your own course on the water! Apart from our school in Workum, we also have a permanent location at the beach of Lemmer, where we offer windsurfing lessons and rentals.
